Bina Agarwal awarded the 2017 Louis Malassis International Prize

Professor Bina Agarwal (former President, ISEE) has been awarded the 2017 Louis Malassis International Prize for an “Outstanding Career in Agricultural Development”.  The Prize is given once every two years by the Agropolis Fondation, Montpellier, to recognize individuals for their exemplary contributions to enhance food and agricultural systems sustainability, food security and poverty reduction. Bina is currently Professor of Development Economics and Environment at the University of Manchester, UK, and former Director and Professor at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. In 2016, she was also awarded the Order of Agricultural Merit (officer) by the Government of France.
