Bulletin of Development Studies

July’s edition of the Bulletin is now available at .

The Conference Early Bird fees run out this Friday (5th August) for those of you who have not registered yet.  Therefore, if you are planning to come to the Conference and wish to take advantage of the Full Conference Fee rates, you will need to register before 5th August.

Just to remind you that the title is ‘Rethinking Development in an Age of Scarcity and Uncertainty: New Values, Voices and Alliances for Increased Resilience’, being held between 19-22 September 2011 at the University of York, UK. More information can be accessed at and a list of panel titles and themes is available from this page.

If you would like to book an Exhibition stand, there are still places left – please visit our website for more information. The Exhibition Centre is a stunning venue, by the Lake on campus, and represents the heart of the event. There will be receptions every evening, bringing people together to discuss the day’s events, providing an excellent networking opportunity. We will have The Thorn Tree – a networking facility to put people in touch with each other while they are there when they see who is on the Participant List.

To foster an environment of collegiality and a networking buzz, we are encouraging people to stay on campus. There will be events organised in the evenings and the accommodation represents extremely good value for bed and breakfast if you are coming up for a day and is included in the full event fee. We need booking for on campus accommodation by 22nd  August. After that, participants will need to find their own accommodation in York.
