We invite applications and nominations for an entrepreneurial and distinguished leader in the area of sustainability, as broadly defined. This is an exceptional opportunity for an academic leader with the vision, to direct the development of a world-class Master of Arts in Sustainability program at the graduate level. The position offers the possibility to join the faculty in a tenure track or renewable non-tenure track position in the appropriate Wake Forest University school, department, or discipline. Candidates are welcome from any background—academics, enterprise, or government.
The successful candidate will articulate and implement a comprehensive educational strategy that will enhance and sustain the University’s leading position in sustainability. This strategy will include a compelling vision for campus-wide and national leadership in sustainability-related research and education, based on the candidate’s demonstrated leadership in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary activities. Candidates should value collaborative work and engage in efforts to secure external funding, connections to organizations, and linkages to the larger community to support the University’s activities and programs.
