The inter- and transdisciplinary Junior Research Group “SEE-URBAN-WATER” is offering a

Ph.D. position (f/m/d) in the field of Environmental Sociology/Environmental Policy/Environmental Psychology or related – 75%

from April 1, 2019 on. The position is limited to three years.

Within the framework of the Junior Research Group “SEE-URBAN-WATER”, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is funding the research work of 4 doctoral students and one group leader in the field of social-ecological research. The doctoral positions will be filled on an interdisciplinary basis (one doctoral candidate from the engineering sciences, natural sciences, social sciences and economics). The research work of the Young Investigator Group deals with the interaction of technical infrastructure systems, urban ecosystems and the urban environment in developing countries. In Latin-American cities as a case studies, representative research areas are used to develop and test nature-based urban drainage and wastewater treatment infrastructures and to investigate their effects on ecosystem services in the city and its surroundings.
