SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: ECOLOGICAL ECONOMIST
Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience
Salary £45,486 – £56,754 per annum
Full Time, Permanent
Coventry University’s Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience aims to drive innovative transdisciplinary research on the development of resilient food and water systems throughout the world. Central to this work is the understanding of how societies may enable agroecological systems to flourish through the restructuring of our economic systems, starting from theoretical conceptual and philosophical perspectives to practical examples of transition and the radical re-shaping of economics. There may be multiple pathways, drawing on different alternative economic disciplines as well as going beyond economics. We are looking for an inspirational individual to lead on new economics for agroecology, water and resilience. You will work very closely with other members of our team on the economic component of diverse projects, including on methods to assess and evaluate agroecological and socio-economic outcomes.
This new post is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to work with our existing team to provide leadership in this area. The postholder will work with senior and junior academics in CAWR to develop applied research programmes, to secure funding, to build and strengthen networks with national and international partners, and to lead and manage research projects. The aim is for excellence with impact in terms of both the Research Excellence Framework and impact on policy and practice.
