John Sorrentino will continue as secretary treasurer, and Regina Ostergaard-Klem will serve a second term as a member-at-large. Susan Santone joins as a new member-at-large, and we are joined by two new student board members: Andrew Gerard as our graduate student Representative, and Emma Rice as our undergraduate student representative. USSEE Board President Welcome Message

Dear members of the ecological economics community,

It is an honor and a privilege to serve the U.S. Society for Ecological Economics as President beginning this month. On behalf of the Board, I would like to express my gratitude to Professor Jim Kahn, who has served as President of the organization for the past two years. We are grateful for his leadership of the Society during this time, and we look forward to his continued engagement with the Board as Past President. I would also like to congratulate our newly-elected Board members, and I thank them for their service to the organization.

I look forward to seeing many of you in August as we hold the 10th biennial meeting of USSEE in collaboration with the Ecological Society of America in Louisville, Kentucky, August 11-16, 2019. This joint meeting will be an exciting opportunity to interact with members of ESA, and introduce many of them to some of the theoretical underpinnings of ecological economics, and to some innovative tools and approaches used by our fellow members. Register for the ESA/USSEE conference today!

Finally, as we approach the 20th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Society for Ecological Economics, let me thank you, the members of USSEE. Our Society is nothing without its members, and on behalf of the Board, thank you for continuing to support the organization as a member. Please consider becoming involved in USSEE affairs by getting involved in one of our committees. And most importantly, please remember to renew your membership!

Warm regards,
Robert B. Richardson
