Claudio Passalía is an environmental engineer from the Faculty of Engineering and Water Sciences (FICH) of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), Santa Fe-Argentina.

In 2008 he began his teaching activity in the Department of the Environment of the FICH, both for the undergraduate and graduate levels; the courses in which he regularly participates are Air Pollution, Global Environmental Cycles, Ecological Economics and Sustainable Energy.

He is currently an Adjunct Researcher at CONICET and Ordinary Adjunct Professor at FICH; He is also chief of the Environmental Engineering program (FICH) and member of the Board of the Argentine-Uruguayan Association of Ecological Economics (ASAUEE).

He is an Expert in Teaching by Competences in Engineering Careers (National University of Misiones, 2019). He is a regular teacher at the Universities of Rosario (FCEyE) and Misiones (FIO). He has published scientific articles in high-impact international journals, as well as participated in numerous national and international conferences on topics related to environmental issues. He has given talks, seminars, and specialization courses on environmental economics, ecological economics, and climate change.

He is a member of the Academic Committee for the Environment of the Montevideo Group University Association (AUGM) and regional co-editor of the Ibero-American Journal of Ecological Economics (REVIBEC).
