The Mesoamerican Society of Ecological Economics (SMEE)
was established during the ecological economics
conference held from 26 to 27 of may 2008, in Guatemala City.
SMEE was created to open a space for discussion about the theorical
and methodological development of ecological economics, to promote
multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary
scientific research to ecological economics integration and
support academic activities carried out in relation to this
subject in the region.
