There is an Assistant Professorship vacancy in Physical Geography at the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. We are a leading interdisciplinary School undertaking research, research training and teaching across a diverse range of sectors, ecosystems and regions. We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong science background that enables them to teach, supervise research students and undertake research in the broad area of landscape-climate interactions and global biophysical systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of collaborative coursework programs in a vibrant work environment, and developing a program of research with new colleagues leading to quality research outcomes. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in ecology, biogeography, climatology or similar, abilities in teaching and student supervision, and a record of quality research.

Academic Level B/C, continuing. Closing date: 3 February 2012.
