SUNY Cortland seeks a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor to teach political economy and social thought and offer upper-level electives in the fields of political economy and environmental and ecological economics beginning in Fall 2023. Ph.D. (ABD considered if completed by the date of the first review) and evidence of expertise in heterodox economics are required.

Preferred qualifications include expertise in at least one of the following areas: quantitative methods in environmental valuation, ecological economics, energy, climate change, and Marxian economics. Also preferred college teaching experience; demonstrated commitment to excellence in advisement and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds; and/or demonstrated scholarship potential.
