The Thor Heyerdahl Summer School in Environmental Governance offers PhDs and young researchers the opportunity to develop high level skills in analyzing governance issues like climate change, biodiversity preservation, sustainable use of biological resources, water management, and pollution. The Summer School creates an arena for critical reflection on the present status of both theory and practice in the field, and an opportunity to discuss alternatives to current developments and solutions.

The second course of the summer school series is on Global Environmental Governance. It will run from June 25 till July 6, 2012.

Application Deadline: February 15.

Organisers: The summer school series is organised by the Department of International Environment and Development Studies (Noragric), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB). Professor Arild Vatn is responsible for convening the series.
