I am currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute of Development Policy, University of Antwerp, Belgium.
I finished my PhD earlier this year from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Autonomous University of Barcelona.
My research is about environmental justice movements with a focus on coal in India. I engage in the activist-academic coproduction of knowledge and action-oriented research for socio-ecological justice and equity.
I have been consecutively elected thrice as an executive committee member of the Indian Society for Ecological Economics, since 2016. I am also the co-president of Research & Degrowth, the Barcelona-based think-tank on degrowth ideas and action.
As a board member of ISEE, I would be interested to bring the different regional societies more in contact with each other and with ISEE, as well as increase the interactions within the society- particularly as a form of intergenerational knowledge exchange between the senior members and the early career researchers.
