Background

There are growing market opportunities for companies that are developing and/or have developed innovative environmental products and technologies.  Specific emerging opportunities include the development of ‘zero’ carbon and ‘net zero carbon’ buildings in line with the Code for Sustainable Buildings, ‘windows’ for low carbon technologies related to advent of UK feed-in tariffs, smart metering and the greening of government procurement. However there are many challenges in moving good ideas through prototyping, research & development to demonstration and commercialisation. This leaves many start-ups, inventors and existing companies left scratching their heads for answers.

  • Where is information on funding available?
  • Where can good market intelligence be found?
  • How can my product or technology be protected?
  • What are the manufacturing implications of developing my product or technology?
  • What marketing aspects should be considered?

The Eco-innovation Workshop will attempt to tackle the above and other questions through a series of practical presentations and discussions.

Target Audiences

The workshop is particularly aimed at companies with less than 250 employees based in the South-East of England that produce low carbon, resource and water efficient products/ technologies. Those that many be especially interested include CEOs, Managing Directors, Development Directors, Marketing Directors, Innovation Directors, Inventors and Consultants.
